Materials and Tools:
— suede lace
— black cord
— ruler
— scissors
— super glue
— tape
— alphabet beads
Instructions:
1. Cut three strands of suede lace 14 inches long. Tie a knot at the top and tape it down.
2. Braid the suede in a regular three-strand braid.
3. Once you reach about two inches from the bottom, untie the knot at the top and join the two ends together to create a loop.
4. Cut a piece of matching suede lace, about two inches long. Add a dot of super glue to the back of the braid and wrap the suede all the way around the braided loop.
5. Next, cut a piece of black cord about eight inches long.
6. String the alphabet beads on the black cord. Optional: Add silver beads between the words to space it out.
7. Knot both ends of the black cord to keep the beads in place.
8. About two inches from the top of the braid, string the black cord through the braid and through the opposite side too.
9. Loop the other end of the cord through the braid. Trim the excess and superglue the end to the inside of the loop.
10. Tie a loop at the top of the black cord and you’re done!
Cut three strands of suede lace 14 inches long. If you want a longer camera strap, simply cut your suede lace longer. Tie a knot at the top of the suede lace and tape it down to your surface. Glue the ends together by wrapping a piece of suede around the braided loop. Cut a piece of matching suede lace, about two inches. Add a dot of super glue to the back of the braid and wrap the suede around — add more superglue as needed. Set aside to dry.

Trim the excess black cord and superglue the end to the inside of the loop so it doesn’t stick out. Finally, tie a loop at the top of the black cord. Then you can attach it to your camera directly or to a small key ring or snap hook.
