DIY Matching Mama + Babe Denim Jackets in 20 Minutes Using Nothing But Patches
One of the biggest struggles of parenthood has been my combined desire to make unique things for my little one and the complete lack of time to do so. Because of this, old school iron-on patches that take minutes to attach have become my medium of choice.
For my daughter Anokhi’s first birthday, I created a patch blanket for her adorned with patches of places we traveled during her first year (and I’ve kept updating it since!). For today’s quick DIY hack, I collaborated with Ingrid & Isabel to customize their sweet Mama Jacket + Babe Jacket using nothing but patches, an iron, and a little bit of fabric glue.
I even added a little floral flair to a pair of matching Mama + Babe hats as well. You can check out the full tutorial and video over on Ingrid + Isabel. Spoiler alert: It’s ridiculously simple :)
In terms of sourcing patches, I found most of these patches on Etsy and a few on Amazon. I recommend a mix of patches that say things and more decorative ones (like the flowers and shooting stars).
