PSA: The Floral Hair Comb Is Winter’s Flower Crown
There is no doubt about it: We love a good flower crown. Real, fake, paper — doesn’t matter to us; we want those flowers in our hair. We decided to give our favorite crown a makeover for the colder months and created the flower crown’s cousin — the wintry floral hair comb. Grab flowers in darker blue, green and purple hues and add in splashes of orange and white to create the perfect winter hair piece.
Materials and Tools:
- fake florals
- hair comb
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Instructions:
- Glue down your first layer — this should be made up of just greenery.
- Add in floral detail using different sized flowers.
- Fill in empty spaces with more leaves and smaller buds.
The best floral pieces are created in layers. You’ll want to first start off with a layer of greenery. We mix and matched gluing different types of leaves onto the hair comb base.
The second layer of the hair comb is made of florals! Pick one flower to be your focus and then add in a few smaller flowers throughout the comb.
Fill in empty spaces with smaller buds and extra leaves.
These floral combs are so easy, and you can make a bunch with just a few bundles of fake florals. These DIY combs are perfect for bridal hair. They’re coordinating, not matching (just like Destiny’s Child), so every bridesmaid will feel like an individual.
Loving the mix of dark purples and blues with a bunch of peach.
This floral comb will look great in a fancy up-do or even in a low, messy bun.
What we love most about this piece is how it can be dressed up or down. No weddings coming up? No problem! Pair with a chunky sweater as a little pizzazz piece to your winter wardrobe.
