Take a Flying Carpet Ride With This DIY Jasmine Halloween Costume
Most of us can remember the magic of Aladdin — the genie, the magic carpet, Abu, that evil Jafar, and of course the epic love story! Even if you don’t have an Aladdin in your life, we think dressing up as Jasmine for Halloween will bring back all the nostalgic feels. Not only is this Disney princess‘s outfit colorful, adorned with gold, and all-around dope AF, but she oozes that sweet sass that Aladdin just can’t get enough of. Scroll on for a detailed Jasmine costume how-to.
Jasmine’s outfit was made with a Forever 21 white crop top and a pair of white AvaCostume Harem Pants ($11) that are sprayed with Tulip Teal Fabric Spray Paint ($10). We glued on gold sequin ribbon, gold beaded ribbon, and sparkly teal ribbon along the sleeves and the top and bottom of the crop top to give it some shimmer. We finished with lots of gold jewelry and, of course, the Disney Princess Jasmine Wig ($9).
Jasmine Makeup: Apply a heavy black cat eyeliner using liquid liner and follow with a set of false lashes. Hit the apples of your cheeks with a bronzy-pink blush and then highlighter to your cheekbones. Finish off with red lipstick.
Jasmine Hair: Tame the wig with hairspray and pin in place with bobby pins to keep it from sliding around.
