Ricotta with Olives and Pomegranate Seeds on Cracked Pepper Triscuit Crackers; Melted Mozzarella with Sweet Cherry Tomatoes and a touch of Chili Flakes on Triscuit Crackers; and Cucumber, Feta and Mint on Triscuit Crackers. Yum!Now, about those runners ;)
Let’s get to it!
As you can see, the materials for all three projects are pretty simple. Read on to see how each of them come together.
We’ll start with the most basic method — using painter’s tape to create a bunch of colorful stripes.
Colorful Stripes
Tools + Materials:
– table runner
– fabric paint
– painter’s tape
– paintbrushes
Instructions:
1. Use the tape to create lines on your table runner.
2. Paint within your tape lines.
3. Wait for it to dry and then peel the tape!
Use the tape to create lines on your table runner. Place them at different widths to get a mix of different sized stripes. Then paint!
You may need to add a couple of coats depending on the colors you choose.
Once dry, peel away your tape to reveal your stripes.
Done! When choosing your color palette, don’t forget that whatever color your original runner is will be seen. We recommend sticking with a solid base color.
We topped this striped scene with Cucumber, Feta and Mint on Triscuit Crackers. So summery!

Next up, we found a gorgeous geometric floral stencil to adorn our runner with.
Stenciled Floral Pattern
Tools + Materials:
– table runner
– fabric paint
– stencils
– circular foam stamping brush
Instructions:
1. Place the stencil on the table runner and dab with paint.
2. Let it dry and then use it at a party!
Dab the paint on top of the stencil. Make sure to use a thin layer.
Use different colors to create a color blocked stencil effect.
How fun is that? It sort of reminds us of tessellations from elementary school!
To complete the scene, we crafted a mouthwatering platter of Melted Mozzarella with Sweet Cherry Tomatoes and a touch of Chili Flakes on Triscuit Crackers.
We love dreaming up all the different ways you could personalize this design.
