Check Out These DIY Spa Night Tips for The Ultimate Girls’ Night In
True Fact: Regular girls’ nights-in are crucial to health and happiness. There’s no better way to unwind than a night of self-care involving rom-coms, delicious snacks, DIY spa treatments and friends.
Next time you and your friends get together, spend the night pampering yourselves! We teamed up with Talenti to show you how to easily put together a gorgeous and indulgent at-home spa night. Ready to relax? Read on!
Deck out a bar cart with rosé, fluffy towels, sliced cucumbers, and other spa-night necessities. We dressed up our cart with a bundle of silk flowers and faux branches. Be sure to also scatter pillows around your living room for maximum comfort.
Be sure to include tasty treats on your cart. I almost always opt for the full-dairy, full-gluten food options (I should eat better, I know), but the Talenti sorbettos are so tasty and flavorful, I don’t miss dairy when I eat them. Also, some of my friends are lactose-intolerant, so our girls’ nights are the perfect opportunity to go dairy-free.
For tonight, we went with Roman Raspberry Sorbetto, Peanut Butter Fudge Sorbetto, and Chocolate Sorbetto. Mm mm!
DIY Chocolate Sorbetto Cups
Aren’t these chocolate sorbetto sundae cups cute? They’re super easy and, even better, they’re 100 percent edible!
Materials and Tools:
- silicone cupcake liners
- candy melts in different colors
- a sterile paintbrush
Melt the candy melts in different bowls in the microwave. Paint the candy on the interiors of the silicone cupcake liner. Play with different placements of color — you’re the artist! Let the first layer cool in the refrigerator. When candy is hard, paint on another layer of candy. Let cool in the refrigerator. When candy is fully hardened, pop them out of the molds. Ta-da! Edible sundae cups!
So many cups… so much sundae potential.
Set up bowls full of delicious sorbetto toppings like berries, nuts, and candy-covered fruit.
I’ll take a scoop of chocolate, a scoop of peanut butter fudge, some berries, and a candy topper!
DIY Raspberry Sugar Scrub
Every spa night needs proper exfoliation. This sugar scrub literally takes minutes to make and it makes your skin feel so good! We were inspired by the Talenti Roman Raspberry sorbetto when making this scrub.
Materials:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 1-2 drops red food coloring
- 10-15 drops essential oils
Mix together all the ingredients. Our love for Roman Raspberry is pretty obvious, given how we finished the pint so fast. We thought it was fitting to mix and store this raspberry scrub in the same pint that inspired the recipe.
Exfoliation time!
Arrange bath salts, bath bombs, bon bons, and lotion bars in candy jars for added delight. :)
DIY Chocolate-Scented Lotion Bars
In case you didn’t know what a lotion bar is, it’s literally a bar of solidified lotion that you rub on your skin — like chapstick, but for your body! These bars were inspired by the Talenti Chocolate Sorbetto. They smell like chocolate, so you’re basically rubbing a chocolate bar on your skin… right?
But in all seriousness, I wasn’t one for homemade skincare products until I made these bars. After only a few days of using them, my skin feels so soft and smooth. Try them. You won’t regret it.
Materials and Tools:
(Makes 12 small bars)
- silicone molds or silicone cupcake pan
- ½ cup cocoa butter
- ¾ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup shea butter
- ¾ cup beeswax
- 20 drops essential oils (we used a mix of orange and lemon)
On a stovetop, melt together all the ingredients. Pour melted mixture into the silicone molds and let harden.
Once bars are hard, pop them out of their molds. Everything is better with chocolate, don’t you think?
Pamper me up!
