Dolce & Gabbana Is Releasing a Line of Whimsical Kitchen Appliances — and We Have Pics!
Dolce & Gabbana are teaming up with Italian appliance company Smeg to create wonderfully colorful kitchen appliances. These kitchen wares are gunning for a best-dressed award — and lucky for you, we have a sneak peek!
The collection, which will be released in October, is called “Sicily Is My Love” and features toasters, citrus and slow juicers, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, and everyone’s favorite kitchen tool, the stand mixer. The companies have collaborated before to create stunningly decorated refrigerators, no less, but this new collection is for the whole kitchen.
Each piece is beautifully illustrated with Sicilian symbols inspired by folklore close to Doce & Gabbana’s hearts. The designs include fruit framed in crocchi; patterns inspired by the landscapes of Southern Italy, Mount Etna, and ruins of the Greek temple of Castor and Pollux; and trinacrie and cartocci (similar to acanthus leaves, one of the most commonly featured leaves in architecture). And they’re honestly so gorgeous to look at, it makes cooking all that more fun.
As far as pricing goes, there’s no word yet. So you might just have to add one of these items to your wedding/new home registry or birthday list and hope for the best. We’re rooting for you!
