“Lion King” Star Donald Glover Is a Daddy Twice Over!
Donald Glover has a new little one to enjoy his upcoming Disney flicks with! The Lion King star, who will play the voice of Simba upon the film’s 2019 release date, has just welcomed his second child with his girlfriend, Michelle.
While he didn’t reveal any monikers for his newborn, the Solo: A Star War’s Story actor did announce the babe’s arrival while discussing his lady with ET, saying, “She’s great. She’s good. Baby’s born, so she’s happier now.”
The rapper, who you may also know as The Childish Gambino, is notoriously private when it comes to his personal affairs. Despite welcoming his first child, Legend, in early 2016, it wasn’t until his 2017 Golden Globes speech that we even learned the sex of the baby boy.
While accepting his award for Best Actor in a Comedy series in Atlanta, he quipped, “I really want to say thank you to my son and the mother of my son for making me believe in people again and things being possible, so thank you.”
He also let the sex of his brand new baby slip while thanking his family onstage at the 2017 Emmys in September. “I want to thank Michelle, my partner, you love me even with how crazy I get,” he said while accepting his history-making win as the first black actor to receive the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award. “I want to thank my baby, my son, for just being the joy in my life. I want to thank my unborn son, we’re listening to Stevie tonight.”
With no nominations for the actor at this year’s GG awards, we may have to wait awhile to find out more deets, but we’re wishing the proud parents our heartiest congratulations in the meantime!
