Worried You’re Not a Perfect Mom? Dove’s New Video Wants to Help With That
Bring on the tissues and waterproof mascara; Dove‘s out with a brand-new video. We can always count on the beauty brand to unveil campaigns that will tug our heart strings (we’re still teary-eyed over the Self-Esteem Project that nudged girls to redefine “flaws”), and its latest isn’t any different. In honor of Baby Dove — the first new category launch since 2010 — Dove is encouraging parents to embrace the realness of parenting, struggles and all.
According to a 2016 report of 6,000 mothers around the world, nine out of 10 feel the pressure to be “perfect.” Seventy-two percent question if what they’re doing is good enough.
Well, stop questioning, and start believing. Dove’s #RealMoms campaign aims to make one simple, yet powerful point: There are no perfect moms, just real ones.
We won’t spoil the video for you. See it for yourself below, but just a word of warning — prepare for some warm, fuzzy feelings.
