#SquadHairGoals: The Down ‘Do Braid
Hello, loves! We’re so excited to serve up more hair inspo for you this week with the sixth look in our #SquadHairGoals series. We’re totally obsessed with this hairstyle because it’s *so* unique — we’re dubbing it the down ‘do braid. This style lets you rock sexy, flow-y locks and a fishtail braid at the same time! Whether you’re headed to a beach wedding or just brunch with the ladies, this ‘do will keep you looking chic as can be. So, grab your girls and get ready to slay.
STEP 1: CREATE A FISHTAIL BRAID
Part your hair to the side and create a fishtail braid that will peek out from your hair. For this look, it’s best to braid using hair with roots near your ear. Grabbing strands from this section will let your braid swing around but still stay put for all to see!
Don’t you love it?! Secure your braid in place with a clear elastic band.
STEP 2: CURL IT UP
Next, curl your hair with a 1 ½-inch curling rod to create effortless beachy waves. Curl your hair in both forward and backward motions to create variety and depth.
Add some oomph by teasing your hair to achieve additional dimension and texture. Teasing will also help your hair hang to one side, allowing your braid to peek through without constant adjustment.
BOOM! Now go get ’em, sister!
