Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz Had the Sweetest Mini “Charlie’s Angels” Reunion
Drew Barrymore has made no secret of her undying love for former Charlie’s Angels co-star and forever friend Cameron Diaz. In addition to the off-color nickname Barrymore has for her BFF (“Poo Poo“), she’s written at length about their longtime friendship in her memoir, Wildflower ($10). Now, the pair have reunited once more, reminding us all that’s there’s nothing better than time spent with a good pal.
Sharing a candid, no-makeup selfie, Barrymore reflected on their relationship, saying “Getting out of your house with your girlfriend. And being a whole person, with your sister. Remember to spend a moment with the ones you love in your busy life. She has made me feel beyond beautiful. Always has. Always will. #thankgodforyourfriends. They rejuvenate and confirm everything. #sisters.”

The actresses actually met years before they first starred on the big-screen together, back when Diaz was 16 and a patron of the coffee (or soda?) shop where a 14-year-old Barrymore worked. As Diaz told Access Hollywood, “She was working at this coffee shop or soda shop, and I used to go there and we became friendly… back when I was modeling and she wasn’t acting.”
As Barrymore detailed in her book, the pair would go on to become much, much closer, with the now 44-year-old Diaz acting as Barrymore’s daughter Frankie’s godmother and Barrymore stepping in as a bridesmaid in her pal’s 2015 wedding to rocker Benji Madden. In fact, so renown is their connection, they even got immortalized in wax together at Madam Tussaud’s in London, England!
While Liu was absent from this particular reunion, she’s no less a part of their famous trio: Barrymore did a flashback post including their fellow actress back in 2016, writing, “#peopleilove Right? I wanna live in this forever.”
Friends forever, indeed!
