Create a Modular Crate Bookcase in 4 Simple Steps
You’ve been in the market for a fancy new furnishing to add to the empty wall in your bedroom. While your search may produce some easy, already-assembled items, this DIY crate bookcase is a unique and vibrant piece you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll need:
- crates
- spray paint
- wood screws
- drill
Instructions:
1. Spray paint your crates. Let them dry for at least 4 hours.
2. Arrange the bottom row of the bookshelf. Fasten together using the drill and wood screws. Pro tip: Install a couple of screws in different places to make sure the bookcase is secure.
3. Layer in more crates using the same method until your desired bookshelf height is reached.
4. Accent the final product with your most favorite plant babies, books, and decorative accessories!
