How to Get a Perfect Ombre Lip in Under a Minute
When we add that perfect pop of color to our pucker, there’s a certain sense of confidence that comes over us. In this case, we’re doubling down on color to create the most wearable ombre lip ever! Because if you ask us, double the color means double the confidence :) We teamed up with L’Oréal Paris to create a super attainable, three-step ombre lip look using their bold and beautiful Infallible Paints/Lip.

Ombre lips are one of those trends that we’ve all oohed and ahhed over, but it can seem intimidating to execute ourselves. Instead of leaving it to the beauty pros and runway models, we wanted to bring it to life in a way that any gal could feel empowered to try. Turns out, the tutorial is actually super simple!
The secret lies with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints/Lip. These gems have a designer applicator that acts as a lip liner, and a flat side that enables you to get that full-coverage, full-lip statement look. The high impact pigment goes on easily, so you’ll feel like a pro. Plus, with 14 high impact shades to choose from, there’s a two-toned ombre lip pair for every gal.
How to Master the Two-Toned Ombre Lip
You’ll need two shades of Infallible Paints/Lip. That’s. It. Our lovely model Rosheen made her purple ombre look using Violet Twist 302 and Lilac Lust 300.
First, apply the lighter of the two shades — in this case, Lilac Lust 300 — to the center of your lower lip and to your cupid’s bow on your upper lip.
Now, press and roll your lips together. This little hack will disperse your lipstick evenly and blend it into a natural finish.
Next, apply the deeper pigment (Rosheen is using Violet Twist 302) to the outside corners of both your upper and lower lip, moving inwards to meet the line of the lighter pigment. Press and roll again!
Gently tap the lighter pigment over the center of your lip again.
Tap your finger to slightly blend the two hues together, giving your lips that gradient ombre finish.
The beauty of this ombre lip is in its variability — you can customize this look with any two (or three!) Infallible Paints/Lip shades using these same simple steps. Creative confidence FTW!
