#ElectionDay Voters Are Lining Up to Leave #IVoted Stickers on Susan B. Anthony’s Grave
It’s pretty amazing to think that we could be watching history in the making, as the first woman president may be just hours away from being voted into the White House. That’s why so many folks are flocking to Susan B. Anthony’s grave to show their thanks in a very visible way. And she’s not the only one getting the love.
In New York, people who have already cast their votes are heading straight to Susan B. Anthony’s grave to adorn it with their “I Voted” stickers. The suffragette leader who fought for women’s rights would surely be thrilled by today’s events.
This is not a line to vote; it's a line to see Susan B. Anthony's gravesite. #Election2016 pic.twitter.com/xUd44WpJgj

That’s why it’s not just a few folks heading to the cemetery to show their thanks. A LOT of people are lining up to pay their respects. But Susan B. Anthony isn’t the only woman who made a difference for all women of future generations. Other fierce suffragette icons like Ida B. Wells and Sojourner Truth are being recognized for their contributions to today’s epicness…
With all the praise for Susan B Anthony, don't forget that Sojourner Truth & Elizabeth Cady Staton started US suffrage mvmt #womenshistory

Yes, I got my "Voted" sticker. Now, if you can just point me to the burial site of Sojourner Truth, I'll be happy to give it to her.

In Michigan, vote, then visit the grave of Sojourner Truth, in Battle Creek.

Today, Sojourner Truth is on my mind. A women's suffrage advocate alienated by racism of Susan B Anthony and Stanton & classism of Douglass.

I owe my right to vote to Sojourner Truth, Ida B. Wells, Mary Church Terrell, Mary Cary, Nannie Burroughs, Frances Harper, & Daisy Lampkin.

Thank you Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and every other badass feminist foremother. Wish you could see this day.
