Ellen DeGeneres Is Launching a Kids Clothing Line With GAP
Ellen DeGeneres has been a pretty busy lady outside of her talk show hosting duties this year. Not only is she extending her QVC lifestyle brand ED into clothing and produced three whole series in the meantime (Ellen’s Design Challenge, Repeat After Me + One Big Happy), but she’s also branching out into clothing for kids with an Ellen x GAP Kids collection. Does this funny gal ever rest (serious question)?!
According to Women’s Wear Daily, Ellen’s collab with GAP (perhaps you’ve heard of them ;) is described as “an apparel collection and social movement…designed to help all girls realize they have the power to do extraordinary things.” Launching August 17 on GAP’s website + at GAP Kids stores, the girl-focused line is expected to feature tops, bottoms and outerwear. Boys and adults have no fear: there is reportedly going to be a small selection for you as well.
Though not many more deets have slipped through the cracks at the moment, we’re going to take a guess and assume the assortment of clothing will feature a ton of bright colors and patterns. Would you expect anything less from the happy-go-lucky comedian?
Thankfully it appears like the Ellen x GAP Kids collection will not result in the headaches Lilly for Target created. This pairing will be producing three seasons worth of clothing. That boils down to a line for fall, holiday 2015 + spring 2016. Until that initial release, keep your eyes on the Brit + Co Ellen tag for any sneak peeks of the collection before you parents + little ones go too back-to-school shopping crazy.
