Emma Roberts’ New Smoky Quartz Hair Color Will Make You Want to Hit the Salon, Stat
With spring nearly upon us (10 more days, guys!), we’re seeing a slew of celebrity hair change-ups. Cara Delevingne stepped out with a silver-platinum ‘do that practically had us drooling, while Kristen Stewart went bold and shaved hers all off.
Emma Roberts may have just trumped them all, however, with not one, but two recent color swaps. Though it seems as if the blonde beauty JUST went from blonde to cayenne pepper red, she’s changed it up on us again, debuting a new, smoky quartz hue that’s unbelievably gorge — a fact that’s not terribly surprising considering that she is reportedly a natural brunette, after all.
The switcheroo was for a role this time, as Roberts divulged over on Instagram. “#SmokyQuartz for my new movie,” she wrote before thanking her stylists Nikki Lee and Kelcey B. of celeb hair hub Nine Zero One.
Roberts didn’t say if the tress change was for the film Spinning Man or Four Seasons, but both are slated for next year and are listed as in pre-production, so it’s really anyone’s guess.
The changeup likely means we’ll see some makeup tweaks on the way from Roberts as well: As she told Us Weekly’s Stylish back in 2014, “When I have blonde hair, I can just do mascara, bronzer, and some concealer. When [I] have dark hair, I have to wear more makeup because I’m so pale.”
Whatever it is that she’s doing, it’s definitely working.
