Taylor Swift's New Song Feels Like An Ethereal Journey Through North Carolina

Taylor Swift has had a crazy two years. After surprise-dropping folklore and evermore, Swift also released her rerecorded Fearless and Red albums, broke records with her ten-minute version of "All Too Well," obtained an honorary doctorate from NYU, and spoke on a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival. Whew.

Today, Swift just dropped her new song "Carolina," a haunting ballad inspired by Kya from the book-turned-movie Where The Crawdads Sing (premiering on July 15th). Listening to the song feels like a journey through North Carolina, and just about every lyric can also connect to the story's murder plotline.

Swifties on Twitter are freaking out about the new song, and for good reason — it's beautiful! In honor of the release, and the fact that Taylor Swift's lucky number is 13, keep scrolling for 13 of our favorite reactions to "Carolina."
