This BB Cream Is So Good I Stopped Wearing Foundation

My everyday makeup routine is tried-and-true. It includes foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, brow gel, and mascara — and until recently, that lineup hadn’t changed for about two years. Foundation has always been non-negotiable. I always loved the medium-to-full coverage I got from some of my favorite options, but they were definitely heavy on my skin and didn’t do it any favors in the ingredient department, either.

I was introduced to Erborian BB Crème ($39) three months ago and it’s completely replaced my daily foundation habit. I never thought I would be someone who could be comfortable with an almost bare face, but this SPF-boosted and moisturizing formula makes my skin look straight-up flawless, just like I’m wearing an Instagram filter in real life.

Now, I actually prefer the BB cream’s coverage over my former camouflaging foundations. It’s sheer enough where it looks like I’m not wearing any makeup but has just enough blurring power to make me feel confident wearing it. I notice that any blotchiness in my complexion is evened out with just a pea-sized amount. But that doesn’t mean it can’t play well with others. If I do want to add foundation for a night out, it creates the silkiest base — far better than any primer I’ve ever used. I think I’m in love.
