Etsy is the online destination for home decor items on the cheap, hilarious greeting cards and Harry Potter-themed gifts for our superfan friends. The website is all about handmade and vintage goods, and as any maker will tell you, it’s changed the DIY game since it launched in 2005. And they’re doing it again. The company just announced a new online marketplace that might just become your new fave place to buy crafts and supplies.
Meet Etsy Studio, a new site that meets all your shopping with inspo needs. There, you’ll be able to buy original DIY projects and find tutorials along with all of the supplies you’ll need to bring the projects to life. You can also source craft supplies you can’t find anywhere else, like hand-dyed fabric and hand-carved weaving looms.
According to Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson, “Etsy Studio champions the joy of making. It’s built on our belief that the spark of creativity and the desire to make exists in all of us; it just needs the right push.” With a community that’s so focused on sellers sharing their craft with people all over the world, this sounds like the perfect new project.
Etsy Studio will launch in April, and when it does launch it’ll have almost 8 million items already available from sellers around the world.
