Eva Mendes Has Emerged for Her First Red Carpet in 6 Months to Slay
All awards season long, we waited with bated breath to see if Ryan Gosling’s lady love, Eva Mendes, would be on his arm when he turned up on behalf of his La La Land nods. Alas, it wasn’t to be, with the Hitch star revealing to Shape that she really just digs hanging at her crib.
“What people don’t know about me is that I love being home,” she told the mag. “Instead of hitting the red carpet, I’d rather be with our girls.” Even the Oscars couldn’t draw her away from her daughters Esmerelda Amanda and Amada Lee, with Gosling taking sister Mandi to the affair instead.
Now, the 43-year-old has finally emerged to slay the carpet for the first time in six months, and she’s got pretty good reason: the grand opening of a new New York & Company store in Miami, where her new spring collection is up for grabs.
The actress was representing in an Alonza One-Shoulder Maxi from her own line and striped peep-toe pumps. Though she jazzed the look up with a multi-color belt and large hoop earrings, you can essentially score her look for $100 — score!
The rest of Mendes’ collab with the retailer is just as chic, and it also just so happen to be her largest yet — there are 100 different pieces to choose from. “It was important for my spring collection to include something for everyone, which is why we are currently offering more styles and inclusive sizing from zero to 20,” the entrepreneur told People.
“I hope that by expanding my collection to additional locations, even more women are able to find looks that fit their own personal tastes and styles,” she said. Fingers crossed more styles mean more Mendes sightings too! Check out her spring line in full here.
