Evan Rachel Wood Pays Tribute to Bowie in Stunning Photos
At the Golden Globes 2017, Evan Rachel Wood skipped the predictable gown and instead rocked the heck out of a sleek tux. “I love dresses; I’m not trying to protest dresses, but I want girls and woman to know that they’re not a requirement,” she said on the red carpet. Well, the Westworld actress put on yet another tux for her May 2017 Elle Canada cover, but this time, to pay tribute to the late David Bowie.
Donning an Altuzarra black suit jacket and pants with a pussy bow blouse, Wood, who updated an old Aladdin Sane lightning bolt tattoo after Bowie died, also said her red carpet look was inspired by Marlene Dietrich.

Wood, who is a musician herself (she’s one half of the band Rebel and a Basketcase with fiancé Zach Villa), also gave fans a behind-the-scenes peek on social media of the editorial shoot helmed by photographer Max Abadian.
Her look in the editorial is a stunning blur of fluorescent cheeks and garishly bold eyes, oversized blazers and suit pants, and a badass, slicked-back pompadour. “I… want a world where we can all be equal and where I’m not held back because of my gender,” she tells Elle.
We think that’s what Bowie would’ve wanted too.
