We’re going through seriously historical times, my friends, and the outcome of the 2016 election has resulted in lots of division and strong feelings. One good thing that’s come of all this mess however is the groups of people everywhere banding together to stand up for what they believe in — even people who aren’t Americans.
Indie fave Everlane is tapping into this sense of unity to bring us a new collection that speaks to our similarities as humans. The company says, “After a long season of divisive rhetoric, we think two things matter most now — protecting [human rights] and remembering that we are more the same than we are different.”
The collection launches today, and each piece bears the phrase “100% Human,” like this The Human Unisex Crew in Small Print ($22).
The Human Unisex Sweatshirt in Large Print ($50) is a cushy yet stylish way to spread the positive message. Plus, for each product sold, Everlane has vowed to donate $5 to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for their defense of “the civil rights that the Constitution of the United States guarantees everyone in this country.”
The Human Women’s Box Tee in Medium Print ($22) is also a gorgeously trend way to celebrate our humanity, and hopefully these pieces will pop up everywhere as little beacons of hope and unity.
