Everything You Need to Know About the Controversial Britney Spears Biopic

Prepare yourself, Brit fans; this is going to be a bumpy ride. Though it’s not set to be unleashed upon the pop-lovin’ public until sometime next February, people are already freaking out about Lifetime’s unauthorized Britney Spears biopic — aptly and simple titled Britney — and really, we can’t blame ‘em. With pics being released that show a cast that barely resembles the folks they’re apparently portraying, this could very well be your most beloved thing to hate in 2017, and we have all the deets you need to know.
First and foremost, you’ll probably want to know that Britney Spears is not behind the project… at all. Not only has she had no hand in the biopic, she’s apparently pretty darn displeased about the entire sitch. As are fans…

Secondly, the WTF casting decisions really have folks scratching their heads. With Natasha Bassett stepping into the role of Brit herself, Clayton Chitty will play her ex Kevin Federline, while Nathan Keyes will be your new Justin Timerberlake.
Fans are not seeing the resemblance — and they’re not the only names you’ll recognize (even if the actors’ looks don’t hint at the parts they’re playing). Paris Hilton, Jenna Dewan and Britney’s first (super brief) hubby, Jason Alexander, will also pop up along the way.
Spanning Britney’s start in the Mickey Mouse Club and epic rise to fame, her relationship with Justin, her marriages and resulting splits, as well as her “fall from grace and eventual triumph and resurrection,” this looks to be so incredibly bad. We can’t wait! And we’re not the only ones…
