An Exclusive Harry Potter Dining Experience Is Coming This Summer
If you’re still a Harry Potter super fan (and aren’t we all?), then you surely freaked out over the Harry Potter cauldron cakes and Harry Potter cocktails. And while we’re happy to whip up a magical evening for our wizard-loving pals, we’re also totally down to book a reservation for the brand new exclusive Harry Potter dinner series.
Scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights in August and September this summer and held at London’s The Library in Covent Garden, a private members club, diners are asked to come in their “best Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin outfit” to enjoy a seven course menu that will surely be worthy of a meal in the Great Hall.
Butterbeer and Firewhiskey will be served to guests who even receive an edible Hogwart’s admission letter prior to attendance, followed by appetizers that include a chia seed, seaweed, and courgette “Devil’s Snare,” a lamb, cinnamon, and onion crumble called “Who is Peter Minus,” as well as the “Triwizard Tournament,” which is baby red mullet with quail egg and squid.
Entrées sound just as enticing, including “Hatstall” (beef fat with bread and chicken liver parfait) and “Secret Keeper”(smoked anguilla in kimchi broth). Finish things off with the “Honeydukes” dessert, which is a white sesame sponge with goat cheese curd, figs and bay leaf ice cream.
The three course meal will cost lucky diners £75 each (or almost $97), butit certainly seems worth it for anyone who’s living in London or who might be visiting sometime this summer and is looking for a uniquely magical (and delicious) experience.
