UGG x Y/Project Just Created the Most Extra UGGs You’ve Ever Seen
Regardless of how you feel about UGG boots, there’s no denying that they’re cozy AF… so we’d be lying if we said a thigh-high version of the ubiquitous footwear wouldn’t appeal when temps start to get frigid. Luckily for us, our dreams may have just come true!
French label Y/Project (the same brand that brought you those crazy garter-belt jeans) debuted a thigh-grazing version of the iconic boot in collaboration with the Aussie label at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris yesterday, and let’s just say basic just got a little less, well, basic.
With a (super) oversized fit and a length that reaches well above the thigh, the shoes, which come in both black and tan, are unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
Y/Project’s Belgian-born designer, Glenn Martens, explained the creations in a press release, equating the experience of wearing the iconic brand’s shoes to “…putting your foot in a warm pot of butter.”
“I thought, why not elevate that and immerse your full legs!” he said. Why not, indeed?
If you want to bring this #lewk home, however, it’ll cost you a wee bit more than the OG version you wore in high school — anywhere from $270 to $1,380(!!!), according to a report from the New York Post. For those willing to save up, they’ll be available come fall 2018.
We can’t wait to see these bad boys hit the streets!
