We’re *always* shopping for our pets. After all, they deserve the best beds and pet-approved gadgets out there. And when it comes to thoughtfully designed accessories that we use on the daily, we’ve hit the jackpot with Fable, a brand-new company that’s setting out to elevate pet gear.
Fable’s mission is to help pets (and their humans) lead healthier, happier lives through better design. “Dogs use a lot of gear every day for walking, playing, and eating, so I think it’s crucial that we’re all really thoughtful about those products,” says co-founder Sophie Bakalar. The Fable team consults the latest research and experts in pet wellness to determine the best materials, features, and forms for a dog’s happiness and well-being.
“It struck me as odd that the everyday products available for pets were so often really cheap and ugly or too expensive and precious,” says co-founder Jeremy Canade. For Fable, the founders use premium Italian leather (the same used by leading luxury designers) and custom silver-welded hardware for a human-grade final product.
Fable currently offers minimalist walking sets (collars, leashes and harnesses), accessories and carriers ranging from $35 to $185, with plans to expand to pet beds, bowls, and toys soon. Head over to their just-launched website to shop the accessories before they’re gone.
