Tech Hack Alert: 32 Keyboard Shortcuts for Navigating Facebook
The average American spends about 40 minutes on Facebook per day, which doesn’t seem like much, but when you start crunching numbers, it comes out to a little over four and half hours per week. Yeah, those quick notification checkups and sticker replies on Messenger really add up. To make your routine Facebook checkups a little faster, here are some keyboard shortcuts that you should probably put to use ASAP.

Shortcuts vary depending on what type of computer you have and what browser you’re using. Pair your basic formula with the appropriate “#” below.

Around Your Newsfeed
When it comes to your newsfeed and Messenger, you can use the same shortcuts no matter what type of computer 0r browser you’re using.
— j and k: Scroll up and down through the stories on your newsfeed.
— enter/return: Expand the selected story on your newsfeed (selected stories will have a thin blue border around them while you’re toggling through using j and k)
— p: Post a new status
— l: Like or unlike selected story
— c: Comment on the selected story
— s: Share the selected story
— o: Open an attachment from the selected story
— /: Search
— q: Search chat contacts
In Messenger
— CTRL + g: Search conversations
— CTRL + q: Show/hide keyboard shortcuts
— CTRL + m: Start a new message
— CTRL + y: Archive conversation
— CTRL + z: Unarchive conversation
— CTRL + r: Mark message as read/unread
— CTRL + i: Go to inbox
— CTRL + u: Go to other
