Find Out Why Folks Are FREAKING OUT Over People’s Trump Cover
While the country is buzzing over Donald Trump’s win and we wonder what happens next, publications are rushing to cover every deet of this confusing political moment. And while it may be understandable for a mag to feature the future President on their cover, the fact that People has done so without a mere mention of the fact that one of their own writers accused him of sexual assault (one of many women to do so), has folks FREAKING OUT.
“In December 2005, PEOPLE writer Natasha Stoynoff went to Mar-a-Lago to interview Donald and Melania Trump. What she says happened next left her badly shaken,” People reported back in October, with Natasha recounting a disturbing experience that was corroborated by six different witnesses.
Despite this, People decided to run a piece about the now President-elect without any mention of their former article or the accusation(s) of sexual assault.
They’ve also been accused of “sucking up” to the new President-elect and his family with the slew of fluffy, Trump-friendly articles they ran immediately after his win that focused on his fam rather than his politics or the accusations against him…

@people He literally sexually assaulted one of your own workers… and you're praising him. Spineless cowards.

@people So you're going to just ignore the fact that he assaulted one of your employees? This is why assault victims don't report.

@people are you seriously trying to glamorize and normalize a calamity? Didn't one of your reporters claim she was abused by trump?
