Made Us Look: This Planter Grows With Its Plant
If you’re anything like us, you’re a sucker for planters. No doubt that what you put in the planter is important, but today, we’re more interested in their home. Whether you’re a minimalist enthusiast or just a fan of innovative designs, you’ll love these fantastic Fold Pots.
Designer Emanuele Pizzolorusso created the Fold Pot with the knowledge that every plant outgrows its pot. And he didn’t like that. So he did something about it! The Fold Pot will grow with your plant. Well, kind of. As your little sprout grows, you can unfold the edges to make the pot taller. You can decide to keep it unfolded or keep it cuffed, depending on the greenery. The point is, it gives you options… and who doesn’t want options? :)
The sleek design is one that anyone with a green thumb will adore. Unlike an ordinary planter, the fold pot is made of silicone so it’s unbreakable and flexible. It also has an optional drainage hole at the bottom, should you need it.
The fold pot comes in three different colors — terracotta, light gray and dark gray — and can be purchased in a set of three ($115) or six ($154). We know that’s a pretty hefty price for planters, but think of it this way: You’re getting three reusable, unbreakable, versatile and innovative pieces that should last you forever. And really, can you put a price tag on good design?
We totally wouldn’t mind getting one of these as a hostess gift… with a plant inside, of course (hint, hint).
