Buffalo chickpea pizza, anyone? She's also been known to eat a plain block of tofu or beans straight out of the can for lunch, but somehow those culinary adventures don't make it to her Instagram. We take the munchies very seriously around these parts, and the best new snacks at Trader Joe's in 2018 were among our favorites of the year from *any* store. TJ's is already our go-to for affordable Champagne, spicy foods, and salad kits, but they also excel in all things snackable. There are cheese puffs, quick breads, and frozen treats galore. It's basically one-stop movie-night shopping. The next time you head to TJ's, use this drool-worthy list as your shopping guide.
Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Coins ($2): These may be the next best thing to Thin Mints when it's not Girl Scouts cookie season.
Gone Berry Crazy! ($2): Gone Bananas used to be our frozen chocolate fruit of choice, but now that Gone Berry Crazy exists, we have a new fave. It's like eating a swanky Valentine's Day dessert any time you darn well please. Treat yo' self, right?
Spicy Cheese Crunchies ($2): The perk of buying your Spicy Cheese Crunchies at Trader Joe's is that it'll make you feel way classier than stocking up on Flamin' Hot Cheetos at the gas station.
Birthday Cake Popcorn ($2): Live every day like it's your birthday when you munch down on a bag of this cake-flavored popcorn. It even has sprinkles made with all natural colorants derived from fruits and vegetables.
Butter Toffee Pretzels ($3): TJ's is heading into the holiday season hot with these salty-sweet, crunchy butter toffee pretzels.
Soft Honey Nougat With Almonds ($3): Soft, chewy South African nougat dotted with crunchy almonds seems fancy enough to gift to friends.
Big Soft Pretzels ($3): When you're overcome with a craving for a big, soft pretzel but don't feel like hauling yourself to a ballgame, just microwave one of these frozen pretzels from TJ's.
Hot Cocoa Dunkers ($4): Basically a chocolate biscotti dotted with chocolate chips and marshmallows, these crunchy cookies are even better when dunked in a cup of cocoa or coffee.
Thai Tea Mini Mochi ($4): Squishy mochi filled with cool, creamy ice cream is always a treat. Vegans can even enjoy this Thai tea-flavored mochi — it's non-dairy and totally delish.
Vegan Banana Bread ($4): Sweet, moist banana bread is always a welcome treat, but it's even better when it's vegan, so everyone can enjoy a slice.
Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4): Heat up a deep-dish chocolate cookie, load on the ice cream, and get some spoons ready — this is a dessert best shared with those you truly love.
French Onion Soup Bites ($5): Your movie snack selection is about to get a whole lot classier, thanks to these French onion soup bites. Eat them in front of the TV, or serve them to guests at your next party.
