Forget Tahitian Vanilla, Now You Can Make Your House Smell Like an Apple Store
Twelve South is already a big name in the Apple accessories world, but they’ve really outdone themselves this time. Now you can accessorize not just your phone, not just your Mac, but your home with their new candle, New Mac.
We aren’t really sure how the candle’s notes of mint, peach, basil, lavender, mandarin and sage equate to the smell of a new Mac unboxing, but who are we to judge the experts? Since the candle is made of soy, not ground up Mac parts, we imagine it’s hard to recreate that one-of-a-kind scent. But according to the folks over at Allure, it’s apparently a pretty convincing substitute for cellophane and titanium. We think you probably have to close your eyes for that to work though.
The bad news is the candle is currently sold out, but the good news is there will be more New Mac candles in stock at the end of the month, so you can get your new-electronics-smell fix then. This probably isn’t the weirdest thing Apple fans have ever done, but we can’t think of anything stranger right now.
Do you think the new Mac smell can beat the new car smell? Let us know @BritandCo!
