Here’s Your First Look at the Cast of “Frozen: (The Musical)” in Full Costume
Opening night of Broadway’s Frozen: (The Musical) will be here in just six short months (much sooner than the anticipated November 2019 release date for Frozen 2 !), but to hold us over, the wonderful folks over at Disney on Broadway have given us our first peek at the cast in full costume, with newly unveiled footage that has us practically giddy with excitement.
The 48-second teaser was uploaded to YouTube just yesterday, but already it’s gotten close to 27,000 views (10,000 of those might be ours — wink, wink).
In the behind-the-scenes footage, Anna (Patti Murin), Elsa (Caissie Levy), Kristoff (Jelani Alladin), and Hans (John Riddle) are all smiles as they show off their brilliant getups in group and solo shots. Everything — from the colors and textures right down to the details (those crowns!) — are absolutely perfect, making it clear that costume designer Christopher Oram possesses some special powers of his own.
From Elsa’s iconic purple cape, which looks positively lush and royal, to Kristoff’s snow-ready look that has us pondering our own chilly winter needs, Oram has brought every last spec from the movie to life.

In fact, we may just need to hop on a flight to Denver to catch the pre-Broadway performances taking place at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts RIGHT NOW and running through October 1 to get a closer peek!
