15 Furniture Decor Trends We’re Already Loving in 2019

After bingeing Marie Kondo's Netflix series and tidying up our spaces, we're starting to shop for new pieces to hit the refresh button for our rooms. And so far, we're seeing some big trends already emerging for 2019. Think smart storage solutions, luxe bedroom additions, desert-inspired upholstery, and more. Click through the slideshow to check out the interior trends we're obsessing over.
Blush Tones: This rosy trend is powering through the new year, and we're here for it. Look for complementary pieces in colors like mustard, oxblood, and navy to add an extra edge.  Brit + Co Pick: Anthropologie Vera Sofa ($2,598)
Desert-Inspired Fabrics: You don't have to live in the Southwest to appreciate rich desert hues. Try a simple sculptural accent in terracotta or a rust fabric to warm up your living room. These shades also tend to play well with blush (another hot color for 2019). Brit + Co Pick: Lulu & Georgia Larabee Arm Chair ($675)
Ebonized Oak: Add a little polish to your living room with a darker tabletop. Ebonized oak looks right at home with metallic accents and makes any color pop. Brit + Co Pick: Jonathan Adler Nixon Cocktail Table ($1,687)
Minimalist Shapes: Clean lines are always in style, but a minimalist silhouette paired with varying shapes and abstract art will really stand out. Brit + Co Pick: Colonel Kyoto Raw Sideboard ($1,595)
Multi-Functional Pieces: Simplify your space and make the most of your furniture with pieces that work in unexpected ways, like coffee tables that turn into instant work spaces. Brit + Co Pick: West Elm Industrial Storage Pop-Up Coffee Table ($699)
Sculpture-Shaped Metal: Incorporate a unique table that doubles as art. It's a conversation piece that will *also* hold your cocktail. Brit + Co Pick: CB2 Curve Gold Side Table ($449)
Woven Accents: Furniture with woven leather detailing meshes well with all kinds of textiles and patterns. Switch things up and try a woven headboard with a busier wallpaper pattern or pillow collection. Brit + Co Pick: Target Opalhouse Queen Tansy Strap with Metal Frame ($200)
Stone Details: Natural stone can bring visual texture to a plain room. Just be sure to balance it out with some cozy and/or botanical elements like houseplants to keep it from looking too sterile. Brit + Co Pick: Anthropologie Pink Quartz Lirit Coffee Table ($1,998)
Light Wood Finishes: Brighten your current tabletop with a lighter finish. Oak looks amazing with many different color combinations and mixed metals. Brit + Co Pick: Lulu & Georgia Oak Emalene Round Table ($1,648)
Pantone's Color of the Year: Living Coral can bring cheer to any room in the home. Warm it up with brass or add botanical elements to make the coral/green combo on point. Brit + Co Pick: Everly Quinn Claybrooks Mid-Century Modern Sofa ($860)
Art Deco-Inspired Pieces: Glamorize your home with embellished tables, ornate designs, and 1920s-inspired furniture. Brit + Co Pick: Anthropologie Pavo Side Table ($299)
Furniture With Secret Storage: This may not be KonMari-approved, but even tidied collections need to end up somewhere. If you're falling short on cabinets and shelves, opt for some seating that also doubles as storage. Brit + Co Pick: Justina Blakeney Lala Round Storage Stool ($165)
Geometric Tables: While we love geometric prints on pretty much everything, multi-faceted furniture is just the conversation piece we all need in our living rooms. Brit + Co Pick: Roar + Rabbit Layered Rectangle Drum ($499)
Luxe Headboards: A stylish headboard is a simple way to upgrade your bedroom. Try a soft shade or elevated fabric for instant luxe vibes. Brit + Co Pick: Urban Outfitters Regency Headboard ($579+)
Acrylic Chairs: Acrylic pieces are genius because they're functional without taking up too much visual space. Incorporate a few organic additions (potted plants FTW) for a playful juxtaposition. Brit + Co Pick: Poly & Burke Burton Arm Chairs, Set of 2 ($200)
