3 Gay Couple Costumes That’ll Win Halloween
Even though B+C is made up of mostly women — men, we haven’t forgotten about you ;) For this edition of couples costumes, we called in Sean, a marketing genius here at B+C, and his boyfriend Ray to model. It was a pleasure having them because they are both super creative and it was a blast making their top Halloween looks. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was how Ray complimented Sean on how cute he looked in his costume every time. Ummm, all other boyfriends out there, pay attention!
Army Toy Soldiers
This costume has been one of my favorites of Halloween 2016. Head to your local thrift store to pick up jeans, an army jacket and shoes. Spray paint all of these pieces a Kelly Green hue — P.S. I used about three cans for these two outfits.
Nerf Super Soakers
Jacobson Hat Company Army Helmets ($13) and green Ruby’s Supersuits ($20) from Amazon. Spray paint the guns and hats the same color green to really make it look like you are plastic green figures.“Don’t worry boy — I’ve got your back.”
Fellow peasants — thou princes have arrived to watch over the land of Beyoncé and Britney.
The Gay Royalty
Can you believe we found these two jackets at Goodwill!? Every time I step into Goodwill I am blown away by their Halloween collection. The key to a perfect prince jacket is the puffy sleeves and royal colors such as red, silver or gold.
Pair the jackets with ruffled white shirts, harem pants, stockings and, of course, crowns. We bought these Kangaroo King’s Crowns ($9) from Amazon and used spray paint to customize the colors to the boys’ outfits.
With the return of Zoolander Two (which I hear was a let down), Sean and Ray were excited to channel the OG Derek and Hansel costume. And yes, they are aware that they are ridiculously good looking.
Zoolander
Derek’s look was super easy because we bought the Rubie’s Derek Zoolander Costume ($43) from Amazon! Is this cheating on my DIY lifestyle? I think not — I call it a DIY hack ;) The key to this outfit is really the facial expression — blue steel.
It’s that damn Hansel! He’s so hot right now! To create that ultra-hot look, you’ll need silver pants and a patterned silk purple shirt from the thrift store. Pair it with a suede jacket and a Rubie’s Surfer Dude Blonde Wig ($12). Don’t forget the classic prune smile for all your photo booth pictures.
“Listen to your friend Billy Zane, he’s a cool dude!”
