This Crazy Geometric-Inspired Pot Grows *With* Your Plant
We’re always looking for new ways (on our walls, in our nurseries) to bring more green into our homes. One thing we don’t love? Having to repot because of expanding roots. Luckily, there’s a new pot in town that grows with your plant. AND it’s also geometric inspired!
Growth, with its origami-based design, expands with your plant. It unfolds and grows to accommodate more soil and larger roots. The pots are made out of a very resilient polypropylene and a mesh bottom, which allows the water to drain out. These cool, changing geometric designs are durable and sustainable and require less work.
London-based duo Studio Ayaskan came up with the original design by first choosing a pattern and then calculating the ratios using trigonometry (ya know, that subject you never thought you would need in the real world). These sustainable pots aren’t available for purchase just *yet*, but Studio Ayaskan is currently in talks with manufacturers to make them available to the public ASAP.
