Jamie’s first move was to swap out the brown couches for a sleek white sectional that offers lots of seating in her cozy living room. Jamie told PopSugar that she preferred a chic bungalow vibe, while her hubby was drawn to modern craftsman styles. Navy blue turned out to be the perfect color for balancing their different style tastes, and there are shades of the color all over the room.
Get the same California-beach style in your living room with a neutral couch and plenty of throw pillows in different shades and textures of blue. Mix things up with everything from tie-dye pillows to fluffy wall weavings and a furry rug. Bring in structure with a wire coffee table and a grouping of bamboo light pendants.

There was enough room in Jamie’s living room to add a separate reading and napping nook. A furry chair creates a cozy, inviting seating option that’s easy to accessorize with a leather pouf and a couple of house plants.
Start with a furry chair (or just cover an armchair with IKEA’s faux sheepskins) and then add a colorful throw pillow or two. Set up a pouf for your feet, and make sure there’s plenty of good lighting so you can keep reading when the sun goes down.
