If you’re going to try a new style, fashion mecca Paris definitely is the place to do it. After closing Paris Fashion Week at the Chanel show, Gigi Hadid left the venue wearing her denim jacket in a daring new way. You could say she was, ahem, giving the cold shoulder ;)
Hadid wore her oversized frayed topper open, over a Karl Lagerfeld tee, black leather leggings, and a pair of Dr. Martens Coralia Velcro combat boots ($140). She cinched a black-and-white zebra striped belt around her waist to hold the jacket in place, and wore the outerwear *off* her left shoulder.
Okay, okay, so we are fully aware that the Tommy x Gigi designer knows how to wear a denim jacket in the traditional manner — and that it’s worn this way just for effect. While she totally nailed it, we’re not sure we’ll be making it part of our spring fashion. Statement style takes guts!
Speaking of standout denim jackets, Hadid’s pal Kylie Jenner also styled her oversized Levi’s jacket for her date night with Tyga with a huge belt (perhaps they’re trading tips?). Jenner wore hers buttoned up — basically, like a denim trench. We dig it.
