This Moscow Mule Recipe Is Changing All the Rules
When the weather drops below freezing and you don’t want to go outside to get your favorite drink at your local bar, why not create the perfect drink in the comfort of your home instead? If you don’t already know, the Moscow Mule has been on the rise for the majority of 2015. It’s a great mixture of lime, vodka and whole lot of ginger beer. So delicious. While this Moscow Mule recipe calls for a lot of the same ingredients, we’re swapping out the vodka for gin. So grab your significant other or bestie, sit in front of the fire and sip on some delicious gin Mules until, you know, it actually starts to feel warm outside.
Ingredients:
- — 1 1/2 ounce gin
— 1/2 ounce lime
— 1/2 ounce simple syrup (equal parts hot water and sugar)
— 2 ounces ginger beer
Instructions:
Simple Syrup:
1. Start by boiling hot water.
2. In a measuring cup, add equal parts sugar and hot water.
3. Mix until completely dissolved and put aside.
Moscow Mule:
1. In a shaker, add lime, simple syrup, gin and ginger beer.
2. Stir it all together.
3. Pour it into a cold copper mug.
4. Garnish with a lime.
