OMG: You Can Now Bake Official Girl Scout Cookies at Home
We can’t get enough of Girl Scout cookies (you too?), and lately, the Girl Scouts have been all about making their cookies available whenever you want them. First, they put their cookies online, and now they’re bringing recipes right to our homes. Sure, the new Girl Scout Cookie Oven from Wicked Cool Toys is aimed at little kids who want to bake all on their own, but we kinda want one for our own kitchen. It would make these Girl Scout cookie hacks so much easier to try…
Any ’80s babies who remembers the Easy Bake Oven will especially appreciate the new Girl Scout Cookie Oven ($60). It lets kids mix up their own cookie dough and watch it bake through the window. We bet this will make your house smell AMAZING. Dying to buy one NOWfor your kiddo? Your little one (ahem, or you) will have to wait until fall to start his or her own cookie baking business.
The cookie flavors will include Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Trefoils, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Sugar and Oatmeal. We’ll be patiently waiting for a Samoa mix to hit the shelves… or DIYing our own version?
The Girl Scouts have been empowering little girls for over 100 years, not only teaching them practical skills, but also giving them the courage to go into business for themselves. Their new toy line will also include a cookie stand for pop-up sidewalk cookie sales, along with a wagon, so Scouts can take their new venture out onto the streets. After all, freshly baked cookies are way better than just-squeezed lemonade.
