How to Throw the Most Glam New Years Brunch Ever
Whether you had a cozy New Year’s Eve night in, threw an amazing party with confetti decor, were stuck working or hit the town, you can start off 2017 with the most glam brunch ever! Everyone is making resolutions for the new year, and here’s one we can all get behind: BRUNCH MORE! #amirite? Start the year off with a mimosa (or two), a giant cup of coffee, some cinnamon rolls, a house full of friends and, of course, a DIY project! Style up your table with timelessly on-trend and light-hearted pink, and step up the decor with these DIY studded napkin rings.
For the table, we made a matching runner and napkins from IKEA Sällskap Pre-Cut Fabric ($20). It was just too fun to pass up! Then, we found the perfect, cheery IKEA Dinera Plates ($3) and paired them with IKEA Intagande Glasses ($2) and Kikkerland Paper Straws + Birch ($9, box of 144). We also couldn’t resist the matching Ikea Intagande Carafe ($8) for our grapefruit mimosas.
To add a bit of feminine edge to the table, we crafted up these girly, ’90s-themed napkin rings inspired by Celina Mancurt Leather Napkin Rings ($20, set of four). They’re a cinch to make (see below)!
Materials and Tools:
- faux leather in pale pink tone
- fabric glue
- 30 gold studs or beads (we used 10x three different styles for variety)
- 6 sets of snaps
- scissors
Instructions:
- Cut the piece of faux leather into 6 strips measuring 1 x 8 inches. This will fit most standard napkins when they’re rolled. Place each set of beads onto your faux leather strips.
- Glue each bead into place with fabric glue. Press and hold to make sure they stick!
- Turn the strips over and glue one side of the snap into place.
- Turn back over and glue the other side of the snap onto the front side at the opposite end of the strip. Don’t worry about spacing the snap evenly with your gold stud beads. The snap is not visible!
- Place around your rolled napkins and snap into place like a choker necklace, and your table is ready!

So easy, yet they add so much to the table.

Ta-da!
Loving how the grapefruit halves bring in a complementary color pop.
