Here’s Every Makeup Product Used for Adele’s Grammys Beauty Look
Whoa, there’s a lot to talk about after the 2017 Grammys. But we can’t stop thinking about Adele. Whether she was bringing Beyonce to tears with her acceptance speech or moving us all with her George Michael tribute, Adele rocked the entire night. But for those who were as equally drawn to Adele’s classic beauty look as her words (and voice!!!!), we’ve got the lowdown on everything that went into prepping the singer for the awards.
Makeup artist Michael Ashton began by prepping Adele’s complexion by massaging Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser ($34) into her dry skin and then wiping it away with Nurture Me Cleansing Cloths ($8). He followed that with a potion of cremes and oils — Ultimate Lift Eye Crème ($42), Pure Truth Vitamin C Youth Activating Oil ($45) and Nurture Me Crème ($40).
For her makeup, Michael relied on Marc Jacobs Beauty products. He used Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($44) as Adele’s base. Then he buffed in Genius Gel Super-Charged Oil-Free Foundation ($48) in shade 26 bisque medium. Then, using MJ’s Remedy Concealer Pen ($39), he highlighted her T-Zone, under eye and cheekbones. Using #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder ($49), he created shadows under the singer’s cheekbones and around her hairline.
To keep Adele’s brows looking sharp, Michael used a combo of Marc Jacobs’ Beauty Brow Tamer Grooming Gel ($24) and Beauty Brow Wow Longwear Defining Eyebrow Pencil ($25). The eyeshadow was dramatic, but very classic. He used shimmery Twinkle Pop Stick Eyeshadow ($28) in Volver 402 on the lid and then Lolita 206 from the Style Eye Con No 7 Plush Eyeshadow Palette ($59) for light contouring around the socket.
To make her eyes pop, he added Adele’s signature cat-eye flick with the Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($30) in Blacquer (pro tip: Increase the width as you move from the inner corner to outer) and then he applied fake lashes to the top lid. He finished the eyes with a sweep of Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara ($26) on both top and bottom lashes.
To complete the look, Michael created a custom peach-nude lip for Adele, combining the Slow Burn and Fawn Over Me shades of Le Marc Liquid Lip Crème ($22). Finally, he set everything using Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Facial Water ($22). And voilà! The 25 singer was red-carpet ready to swoop in and win every award there was.
