Wow Your Dinner Party Guests With This Grilled Cheese Fondue Recipe
When it comes to hosting a dinner party, most people aim to show off their culinary skills by making OTT dishes like mussles recipes or this drool-worthy crab dinner recipe. However, for the rest of us who want to pretend for one night that we’re an adult with adult-like responsibilities, we prefer our dinner parties to be fun and lively (and less Iron Chef-y). That’s where this cheesy tomato fondue dish comes in. It will keep your hangry guest at bay with its cheesy tomato goodness and mini grilled cheeses. Want this recipe in your life? Check it out below.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup of pre-made tomato creamy soup
- 4-10 slices of white and pumpernickel bread
- 1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 Tablespoon of butter (for pan)
Instructions:
1. Add the butter to a skillet over medium-high heat and let it melt.
2. While the butter is melting, pour the pre-made tomato soup in a medium-size pan, and heat it up over medium-high heat. Make sure to constantly stir the soup so it doesn’t burn at the bottom.
3. Once the soup has been heated, slowly add the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted. Turn down the heat, and let the soup simmer for five minutes.
4. Create the grilled cheese sandwiches and place them in the skillet with the melted butter. Make three to six sandwiches, depending on how many people you’ll have.
5. When the sandwiches have slightly cooled down, cut them into small squares and place them on a serving dish.
6. Serve the mini grilled cheeses together with the tomato soup with fondue forks.
