Rosé-Flavored Vodka Exists and You Can Bet We’re Stocking Up
If you, like us, are obsessed with rosé, boy, do we have some news for you! Your perfect summer (and winter!) wine just got a major facelift, the likes of which will have you popping some serious bottles. World, meet rosé vodka. EEE!
California’s Hangar 1, which produces all kinds of deliciously flavored vodkas (think Mandarin Blossom and Makrut Lime), set out to make Millennial dreams come true by combining real rosé (crafted from a blend of Petit Verdot and White Meritage wines made right in California) with its signature vodka.
That’s right! No weird flavorings, just homegrown rosé and vodka paired together in heavenly beverage bliss.
Described as “a great refreshing alternative to wine,” Hangar 1 Rosé ($32), which has a seriously Instagram-worthy light pink hue, is “a first-of-its-kind blend” featuring “notes of crisp apple, sweet pea blossoms, and a hint of oak on the nose, with a silky and soft mouthfeel finishing fresh with hints of cranberry.” Yum!
Translation? According to the brand, its newest concoction is”silky and soft, with notes of berry and wood, and a crisp acidity.” Sounds like the perfect base for sangria or mixing into a refreshing spritzer, no?
The Bon Appetit team, which actually tasted the vodka, may have described it best, however, writing that “It tastes exactly like it sounds: rosé with higher-proof from vodka, or vodka watered down slightly with rosé.” (Honestly, we can get on board with either!)
If you’d like to pick up a bottle (or, you know, two), you can order it online or use Hangar 1’s handy store locator to find a retailer in your area.
