Hanson Is Working on a Brand New Christmas Album
The holidays may not be here just yet, but Hanson is already feeling the Christmas vibe! The band (comprised of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson) first came onto the music scene in the mid-‘90s with their super poppy “Mmmbop” (yeah, you’re singing it already, aren’t you?). Though the brothers have continued to make music throughout the years, they’ve also been busy getting married and having kids (TWELVE children between the three of ‘em), but now the boys are coming together again for the holiday season.
Following Hanson’s 1997 Christmas record, Snowed In, the band has just announced plans for a new album in their recent newsletter, saying, “We have already whittled the potential track list down to 20 songs (when you include original songs) and we still have a lot of hard decisions to make, but it will all be worth it when this Wintery Mix is finished.”
Their producer, Mark Hudson, also shared some behind-the-scenes pics of the boys back in the studio, adding the caption, “It was 20 years ago today. Doing another Christmas album with my boys! @taylorhansonmusic Taylor, Ike, Zak.” 20 years?! Wowza!
Coming out in 2017, we can’t wait to hear the holiday tunes Hanson has for us all these years later.
