When they said love makes your heart skip a beat, they didn’t mention this. Reddit user sesipikal strapped a heart monitor on and then proposed to his girlfriend in Rome to find out what a proposal really does to one’s heart. The monitor captured the eating of ice cream, enjoying said ice cream, waiting in line to get in to the Roman Forum, the proposal itself, the “yes!” and the moment the newly engaged couple found a bench to sit down and finally chill out.
During the proposal, his heart rate nearly doubled — it shot up to around 125 beats per minute!
P.S. Ice cream is a major stress reliever (apparently), so we’re going to go have some now.
What’s your proposal story? Did you have a small heart attack? Let us know in the comments.
