This Hello Kitty Grocery Store Is Almost Too Whimsical to Believe
Hello Kitty’s iconic face will stay in our minds forever, but she’s come a long way from the pencil cases and watches of our youth to cater to our more grown-up tastes and interests. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with still indulging in those collectable Sanrio minis, but it’s nice to be able to grab a cup of Hello Kitty coffee or even enjoy a glass of wine with one of our childhood faves. And now you can get some Hello Kitty help with the less fun parts of adulting too — a Hello Kitty grocery store has opened in Hong Kong, and it looks literally too cute to believe.

The pop-up grocery store is located in the Sai Wan location of the Yata department store in Hong Kong, and it’ll basically enable shoppers to stock their entire kitchen with ONLY Hello Kitty groceries. You want Hello Kitty apples or salads? No problem. Need to pick up some Hello Kitty cookies or cakes? Duh, they’ve got those. Stocking up on Hello Kitty-shaped bottled water? You’re in the right place.
The only real problem here is that most of this stuff actually looks too cute to eat. Imagine getting this Hello Kitty sushi, and then doing anything OTHER than Instagramming it?

The store opened on February 12 and will stay open until May 31, so you’ve still got lots of time to book your trip to Hong Kong. Bring us back something cute!
