Here Are 10 of the Scariest Movies EVER
It’s almost Halloween, which means it’s not only time to pull together a last-minute costume, but it’s also the perfect time to find your fave seasonal spooky story on Netflix. And while some of us can be totally brave while watching any and every horror movie, there are those of us who can watch a freaky film once and have nightmares about it for years (*raises hand squeamishly*). Either way, most of us love indulging in a good tale of terror. That’s why you’ll definitely want to check out 10 of the scariest movies EVER.
1. The Silence of the Lambs: When a top FBI student played by Jodie Foster is sent to interview psychopath killer Hannibal Lecter in order to catch another murderer, it’s creepier than anything you can imagine.
2. 28 Days Later:If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead and anything zombie-related, then you’ll love to be scared by 28 Days Later.
3. The Omen:Head back to the mid-‘70s to check out this terrorizing tale of a privileged kid who turns out to be more than he seems.
4. Psycho: Check in to a super spooky hotel in Hitchcock’s classic Psycho.
5. The Blair Witch Project:You may think of The Blair Witch Project as a little campy now with all of the parodies that have been made of it, but go back and watch, and we guarantee you’ll remember how freaked out you were the first time around.
6. The Exorcist: Apparently based on true events (um, okay), a mother calls in a priest to perform an exorcism when her daughter is possessed by the devil. So creepy!
7.The Shining: When Jack Torrance (played by Jack Nicholson) loses his mind, he goes absolutely nutso in an isolated hotel inhabited by his family. “Heeeeere’s Johnny!”
8. Halloween: Jamie Lee Curtis is making a comeback on Scream Queens, and there’s a very good reason for that. Not only is she totally awesome, but she’s the original scream queen. Just check her out in 1978’s Halloween for undeniable proof.
9. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The name pretty much says it all, but it doesn’t even come close to capturing the intensity.
10. It: Really, almost anything by Stephen King could be on this list, but with the recent outbreak of creepy clown attacks, It seems particularly apt this year.
