While Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are erasing all social media traces of their relationship, news that Tay has moved on to a new man has the internet buzzing hard. The fact that she was spotted kissing Tom Hiddleston had peeps squee-ing and vigorously searching for hints of this blossoming relationship. Well, now we have just that. While the pic of Tay and Tom kissing was the first glimpse the world got of the new duo, it turns out it wasn’t their first date, and we have the adorable deets.
The night before the now-infamous pic was taken, 26-year-old Taylor and 35-year-old Tom were spotted enjoying themselves tremendously at Olympia Tea Room in Westerly, RI. According to others who were there (and reported by Perez Hilton), “Tom and Taylor were … in the back left booth drinking white wine… They were very cute, a lot of laughing, giggling, as she showed him texts and photos on her phone.” But giggling wasn’t where it stopped. “They were interlacing their fingers across the table and laughing.”
Staying for over two and a half hours — which is definitely a sign of a successful date — the pair apparently ordered the restaurant’s famed Avondale Swan pastry with whipped cream and fudge. A sweet treat for a sweet pair.
Whether the start of a long-term relationship or a friendly rebound fling, let’s hope that Taylor ends up happy (and who wouldn’t be when they get to cuddle up and kiss Tom Hiddleston?!).
