Here’s Four Things You Can Watch Instead of the Super Bowl Tonight
If you’re not feeling the Super Bowl (even with Lady Gaga’s politically charged halftime show or these 10 awesome leaked ads on deck), it’s A-okay: We’ve got you covered. Simply kick back and relax with some other great viewing options instead!
Among them? An adorbs talking fish, scary AF zombies and an annual staple with more adorable puppies than any of us are able to handle. YAS! See what’s on our lineup for tonight, below.
1. Puppy Bowl: Frankly, even if you are watching the Super Bowl later today, you’ll still want to make time for Puppy Bowl XIII (Trust us — we met the MVPups and almost died of cuteness). Airing at 3pm/2c on Animal Planet, then again at 6pm/5c, the show is full of adorable baby dogs with even more adorable names (like Alexander Hamilpup and Panda — awwwww!), chasing toys and showing off their best tricks. Seriously, it can’t be beat.
2. Finding Dory: The highly anticipated sequel to 2003’s classic Pixar film hit Netflix earlier this week, and, if you ask us, every day is the perfect day to watch this heartwarming, feel-good flick. Better yet, turn it into a mini double feature with this perfect clip of Dory herself (i.e. Ellen DeGeneres) using the film’s plot line to explain why the Muslim ban is wrong.
3. The Walking Dead: AMC wants you to forget all about football and set your sights on zombies (lots and lots of zombies) instead! Amping you up for the show’s return on February 12, the network is offering fans of the series a comprehensive marathon (starting with the first episode EVER) and running through the show’s first two seasons during game day.
4. Kitten Bowl IV: More of a cat person? No problem! The Hallmark Channel‘s response to Puppy Bowl, the Kitten Bowl IV, will see a bunch of cute felines running around a tiny football field, chasing a toy football and being utterly cute. The meow-tastic action starts at 12pm/11c!
