Here’s How to Cash in $10,000 from Your Old Disney Tapes
If you’re a little behind on your decluttering (like, years behind) and nostalgia has kept you from donating your old VHS tapes (ya know, those things that came before DVDs), then you might want to see if some Disney faves are among the bunch. What plenty of peeps have been unloading at garage sales once their little ones are all grown up might in fact be worth a pretty penny. Or rather, thousands upon thousands of dollars.
From The Little Mermaid to The Lion King, Cinderella to Aladdin, the classics are making a fierce nostalgia-kicked comeback, with one eBay seller posting his VHS tape for $9,999.99. Yep, $10k for an old copy of Beauty and the Beast. Take a moment to think about that and then start searching your closets for all of your old tapes.
Other sellers are also offering their old-school movies at prices ranging anywhere from $1,000 to an eye-popping $20,000, but with few bids, it may not be the surest road to riches.
